- Discuss the difference between a paper trail and a digital trail.
- Have students go to Tagxedo to create a digital footprint. Tagxedo turns words (from famous speeches, news articles, slogans, etc) into a visually stunning word cloud. It allows you to place the words inside of several different shapes.
- Go to http://www.tagxedo.com/ using a Firebox or Internet Explorer Internet browser.
- Click the "create" hyperlink near the Tagxedo top of the home page.
- Click "load" and in the "Enter Text" box, type lists of web site, apps, or digital communication tools that you have used over the past week. Try to come up with at least a list of (5) web sites, apps, or means of technology-based communication.
- Click "submit" when your information is done being entered in the "Enter Text" box.
- Click "shape" and scroll about 1/3 of the way down in the "shape menu." Click on the footprint to select this shape.
- Click on the "x" in the top right of the "shape menu" to close out of the menu.
- Click "save" and choose 1MP as the file size.
- Save the file as Last Name First Name Digital Footprint onto one's flash drive.

Week 8 (October 5th - October 9th)

- Students work in groups to make a list of as many social media examples as they can. Students will share their lists at the end of class.
- Hashtag groups are called one at a time to post a photo on the @MrKentStJude instagram page. Students must include a filter, caption, hashtag, and emoji and share with the Instagram followers of @MrKentStJude.
TUESDAY
- Review verbally, what one learned about hashtags from the previous class.
- Please sign this contract for our Instagram Hashtag Scavenger Hunt.
